Ever since I was a child, I have wanted to do many things. Usually, these things or events happened really close to one another so I had to choose which event I did. I have always had friends that are older than I for one reason alone. They were aloud to do WAY MORE STUFF than I was. They could stay out later, they could drive and they were trust worthy. You get the picture. So that usually meant that my friends we going to do cool things with out me. Or they would invite me and I couldn’t go because of my age, height and/or my parents saying now.
When ever I hear that my friends are doing something that I am interested in, I want to do it as well. It doesn’t matter what it is. I could be thinking about cars and how I should fix my websites. A friend could mention Roller Skating, and POOF I am interested, already know how much I can spend at the rink. I just need 15 minutes to go home and get my skates. It’s like this for everything. Mention you are watching a movie, I want to go. mention that on the same night there are 2 things going on, I will figure out how to do both of them. Possibly at the same time. It is just something I have always done and I need to break this habit.
Tonight, February 7th, 2013 there is a Meeting with People From WordPress at the Red Rock Hotel. I am not going, but I so want to go. I have a meeting with a client at 5:00 pm at location clear across town. But I still want to go. I have spent a lot of time today so far trying to find a way to do both while watching a documentary on Church.
Over the last few years, I have been able to calm this habit in many ways. Mostly, because of the economy, events do not happen on the same day. So I am able to do all of the things I want.
