Save your iPod’s battery life. It’s actually easy.

So if you are like me, your iPod dies a lot. Even though it is new-ish and you have only charged it a handful of times. For me, I usually listen to my iPod while driving in my car. I’ll get a phone call and turn the music down completely so I can hear the conversation. I have a loud exhaust on my car, so I do everything in my power to listen to phone conversations. Well sometimes I’ll get to the destination I was driving to and turn my car off, grab my stuff and get out while my iPod is still playing.

I would use Shuffle on my iPod every time. And that is Ok. The only problem is that if you have more than 50+ songs, your iPod will stay on for a very long time. So what I do is this. I create a new playlist called SHUFFLE. And I put favorite songs I know that will make me happy and wont make me want to skip the next 15 in a row. Then I make sure that it is no longer than 45 minutes. That’s just about the length of a cd, give or take a few. But that way, no matter what, the longest your ipod will be in actual use is 45 minutes. Then it will go to sleep and save you power. Just a thought. Hope it helps.
