I’m sitting here working on my new project called “Dating Sevens”, an online dating advice site. I’m listening to Justin Timberlake’s new song called “Strawberry Bubblegum” off his new record, The 20/20 experience. Almost everyday I post something on facebook called Online Dating Advice followed by a number. I make up the number as I go. That is what really got me thinking about the Dating Sevens site. I wanted to archive all of the advice posts. So of course I’m using WordPress to accomplish this.
As I am working on the site, I had a saying pop in my head. The saying is “If the rock is smooth, the path was rough.” After many hours of searching high and low, I came to find that I was the first person to every say that. Ok, I cant prove that. But as of Monday, May 13th, 2013, I am the only one to say that sentence regarding dating. So it’s mine. Suckers.
The phrase basically means that the rock became smooth after heading down a rough path in life. I think that is why older individuals are so much smarter. They have been smoothed out by a rough road.
