Epic Failure – Drivers Names On The Windshield

So Nascar has been doing some testing along the lines of the fans. Their bright idea was to put the names of the drivers on their windshields. It’s so the fans can know who is driving that car in the race you are at, or watching on T.V. Now I admit, there should be more information about who is driving in the race you are attending. But then again, I go to the NASCAR website and look at who is qualified. Also, you can ask any fan at a race and they usually know. Not to mention, you are in a sardine can of seating arrangement, ask your neighbors.

So today on the Speed Channel, they had Preseason Thunder. A test and tune session with the new cars and the New Windshield Idea. Wanna know what the epic fail was?

The fail was that you had to either be super close to the track to read the name, as the cars raced by at 190+mph, or the camera has to zoom in extra tight to get the name to be readable.

Like this. So maybe they can work on that a bit better right?

The Idea came behind this, The Nationwide cars and the Truck Series have the Series Sponsor on the Windshield.
